If I need cash nowadays, I go to a supermarket and use one of the self serve checkouts and get money from there. Too public for someone to hack the little readers. Mind you, I don't think I've used cash for anything for about six months, so it's kind of a moot point now.

The only one I heard from about a grocery store was most certainly an inside job. I spotted one while servicing ATMs only because the color didn't match the rest of the machine. The keys to the facades of most ATMs are hugely generic. Hell you can buy some of them on EBay.

That particular variety of ballistic gelatin is flammable, so when the cavity collapses back down you get a bit of dieseling with the little bits of particulized gelatin.
