I don't think they were saying never blame Clinton, they were saying maybe don't make her into the devil herself who personally destroyed the left, because A) that's stupid and B) right now we probably should be focusing on flipping as much as we can and to do that yes we probably are going to have to accept that lovely centrists are better than Republicans in some areas.

also it may be good to not devote so much energy to making sure the Clinton supporters sufficiently flagellate themselves because saying things like 'we may get another Obama' is something a large amount of Americans view as not a scary danger situation at all, and that's likely to not change at all as time goes on.
