I chose Holiday Avatars for the thread title because I figured we'd be getting into new years soon, so I might make some new years scenes for a few. Happy to make new years images for folks who already have one if there is interest.

Welcome to the 128th Annual Rose Parade presented by BYOB!! I'm your host vanisher up here in the booth. It's a nice warm day up here in sunny Pasadena, CA and we've got some excited faces in the crowd as we await this years floats   . For those new folks, every float you see here was made by volunteers out of flower petals or plants. We've got some excited fans, let's see what rolls by first!

Here comes the first float! These dancers you're about to see are the Zylettes, they are all champion flag wavers and are visiting us from out of town give it up for the Zylettes!  Here comes the Zyla float! This float is designed by the students at our local surrealist art institute and it uses orange halves, pincushion protea, Casino anthurium, Tiepolo dianthus and Calypso mokara orchids.

 What an amazing Yob Goblin float this year. More than 15,000 orange, yellow and red chrysanthemum have been used for the goblin. The float body has more than 20,000 roses and about 15,000 Gerbera daisies. Spectacular entry.

 It's captain ladybeard mcflurry pirating her crew across the oceans! This fun design was made entirely by rescue sheep. Their tiny hooves put each flower into place over the course of the year. This float uses tapioca pearls, cranberry seeds, daisies, roses and marigolds.
