yeah I was thinking of an even better version of that one

also it's kinda weird in the article that they mention not being happy with the lab objective in Sapienza and realising non-assassination story objectives were a bad idea, then they did something much worse in Colorado
Since they developed Paris and Sapienza at the same time, I'm guessing the development schedule meant they didn't really get to learn from each episode until the others were pretty far into development.

I actually think the Colorado one is better than Sapienza because Sapienza has a very rigid solution, whereas the Colorado escape has a very short and simple routine that can be hosed up in a whole host of ways depending on how you killed the target, the suit you're wearing, when you pick up the key etc. It's also way shorter to do than destroy the virus, because the map itself is so much more compact.

I came around on Colorado as I worked on the 20 mastery but it's still probably my least favorite of S1. I appreciate them being a little experimental map to map though because it means each new release has the potential to be something genuinely different and exciting

I agree I think. There are no bad levels but I probably enjoyed it the least. I think it would have really annoyed me had I been playing the maps as they released but I'm glad they're happy to do new stuff every level, shows confidence and promises good stuff ahead

I don't like the virus part of Sapienza because the lab is so crowded, you can only get in wearing one of two disguises, and basically everyone in there wearing the same disguise finds you suspicious.

this season should have another bonus episode, i believe set in sapienza again, this month, and ends officially at the end of the month with the release of the physical version

early on we are had the idea for an exploding meatball 47 would put on a plate of spaghetti, which caruso was carrying around the map. he would put it down to pray to the pope, or make a chef kiss. [chuckles] that eventually became the golf ball

Cool, sweet. It's amazing how much content this has, it's awesome they're adding more. Also the fact that there's a built-in system for making your own contracts and sharing them online, that's really cool. I hope they expand on that later, I would absolutely pay full price for a game that was just a level editor with this engine.

itd be really good if user contracts could have conditions added to them like some of the escalations. just simple ones, so you could make like getting a sniper assassin ranking a requirement for beating your level

That would be cool. I just want to spend like 20 hours a level building super-detailed towns and buildings for people to explore, and get to experience other crazy people's levels. This game kicks so much rear end.

What kind of locales do you wanna see for Season 2? I would love an urban area with a construction site or something, where you could set up a lot of mechanical sabotage. Or a level that's 100% inside a computer and you play as 47 but it's all a pantomime for hacking

One of the many things I like about Sapienza is that it's just an average day in a seaside town. There's no big event to set the scene, people are ordering Gelato or talking over coffee or sunbathing. I'd love another environment like this, but maybe a denser metropolitan version. Have a mission take place in a couple square blocks of Shanghai or Dubai, maybe. Lots of vertical room to mess around and large crowds.

I'm also curious if that murderous photographer from the trailer is going to be a season 2 target or if he was somehow reworked into Jordan Cross. Seemed like a sunny American environment of some kind.

levels are cool when you can easily describe them. the fashion show. the italian town. the japanese hospital. the suburban birthday party. the opera. the english manor. the one where you have to sneak down a valley and there's ninjas with sniper rifles in towers and also they can spot you from across the map

- A convention center/stadium and part of the surrounding city
- A big tech company office complex like Google: on-site living spaces, break rooms, gyms, transportation within the complex, etc.
- An opera with lots of costumes, people rushing around back stage, etc., and some big dramatic ways to kill someone in public
- A movie-themed amusement park like Universal Studios
- A large campground recreation area: parked RVs and surrounding campers, a lake or river, etc., lots of tourists and different families
- A shopping mall with an upper office area and a lower level that consists of a Chuck-e-Cheese style arcade and mini-golf course - this and the amusement park might not work because I'm not sure they're allowed to have children in the game
- A new development under construction in an urban area
- A private space exploration company's base (like Space-X) on the day of a major shuttle launch
- A central Asian government palace and surrounding decaying post-Soviet shitburg
- Several D.C. museums like the Smithsonian, Air and Space, etc.
- West African beach resort
- Isolated ski resort in winter
- Caribbean tourist trap during a hurricane - indoors only, very dramatic weather conditions

in the blood money opera stage a man gets pretend shot during the scene and you can replace the fake gun with a real gun whatever. the extremely win assassination is to time your sniper shot to the fake gunshot and no one notices

Oh, man. This would be great. I remember someone suggesting a frat party bonus mission in Colorado so that also has my vote.

It's tough because so many of the ideas in the exclusivity vs. public divide have already been done in Hitman - casinos, hotels, parades, weddings, galas, suburbs, etc. Not saying they can't revisit some of these earlier locales, but it must be tough for them to think of fresh environments on the sixth game in the series.

A Renaissance Fair would also be hilarious.

It must be tough having to design murder simulation levels that are densely populated and true to life while trying to avoid a (second) call from the Secret Service or other law enforcement agencies. I can see why IOI would shy away from airports, train stations, government buildings (now), or college campuses.
