I tried out FenZukMan last night, and I like it's damage potential, but it feels much more important to get your movement down. I ran into some weird 4 X-Wing list with that almost completely negated a Fenn 5 hit shot while in formation.

My biggest issue with FenZuckMan has been leaving Zuckuss in bad position, despite trying to keep him at range 3 until it's safe to engage. And I like the idea of using Manaroo to bump, but I haven't managed a single one yet. The list certainly can poo poo out damage quickly though.

I barrel roll with Zuckuss on the opening rounds a LOT. In fact, pretty much every single move until the opening engagement has a barrel roll. Sometimes it's before I reveal my dial, sometimes it's not. Doing this slowly moves him out to one side or the other, bringing him into a flanking position. By time the fight starts, I tend to have Manaroo in the middle with both Fenn and Zuckuss just far enough to either side that the enemy MUST commit to one or the other if they don't want to split fire. A lot of people, rather than doing that, just take the bait that is Manaroo there in the middle.

So I was at my game store today and asked the manager if he knew when they'd get the new ships. He told me he had about 30 of them, and they sold out in 3 days. I guess I'm going to wait a little while for them to restock.

Is anyone up for a round of X-Wing tonight (starting in the next hour sometime I guess, as I need to get up early tomorrow - left this post a bit late, sorry), tomorrow night or the day after? (Anytime from 6:00am GMT until 10:30am GMT) Since I really want to try out my Rey+Horton list to see if it's actually any good or not, before Regionals on the weekend. (My plan is to use the tried-and-true Brobots at regionals, unless this list really clicks for me...I haven't been able to play it once yet, so it seems like I probably shouldn't use it on the weekend, but I'd like to try it out in any case) I'm here on Steam, and only use TTS at this point: http://steamcommunity.com/id/majorisoor/ EDIT: Oh, and there are a couple of people who I know will be using either triple Defenders, or two Defenders and Jax, I believe. I did just get a shiny new YV666 for Christmas, so I'm thinking of just taking Bossk Dengar without any training. I figure playing a sledgehammer team will be better than a finesse team on zero training. Edit: I'd take FennZukMan because I trained a bit with a kavil version, but haven't got enough mindlinks. Well I am in for an interesting match tomorrow, Got a guy coming in to play at the FLGS which is in regional NSW and he is is from out woop woop and he wants to play a epic match. My sister bought me the Heroes of the Resistance expansion, purely for the Falcon miniature. I've never played this game and the expansion is all I own. I assume, since I already have this I'd be smart to go Rebel. So a starter pack, maybe one more expansion? I read the OP, but beyond that I'm coming in blind.

You'll need a starter of some kind, for the damage deck and templates. The TFA starter would probably be best, since the pack you have has T70 pilots in it, so you can mix and match.

Grab the TFA starter and you're set up for a reasonable list. But don't expect to stick at one extra ship

Frankly, I think crackshot/glitterstim brobots are the absolute baseline for what you can consider competitive. The list is incredibly well-rounded. High offense, high defense, high health...it's great. If you do well against them, your list is good enough to take to a Regional.

Way too long for my taste. Might do it again for fun one day down the road, but I can't see it happening on a regular basis.
