If we're talking about the "white people invented everything" stuff, if we are talking about the Ancient world and you replace "white" with "Chinese" then you are closer to the truth. There is evidence of China inventing a whole bunch of stuff, but because they were behind the wall/culturally isolated for so long that none of it got out. And the stuff that wasn't invented in China, was invented in the Middle East, and was stolen by the Europeans during the crusades.

Our current understanding of whiteness is so historically specific to the last ~2 centuries (and that's a generous timeframe) that any discussion of "white" people in pre-modern history is pointless.
