Actually, what's sickening me about 9CL is that we've been looking at the bottoms of these people's feet for the past week and a half.
Every time I think "This is as bad as Brooke can be" he tops himself. He actually got slightly better in my opinion when he was posting that failed strip of his instead of Pigporn for a while. I don't see why he can't bring some of the elements from that into 9CW. It wasn't great, but it wasn't awful either.

I think Wizard of Id got a new writer or something, because it's had some pretty relevant and funny gags in the past few months, and I've actually kind of started liking it. Here's the past few days, and handful of samples from December:

1:
(I really like the two-panel throwaway gag here.)

I don't know if anyone posts Big Nate in this thread anymore, but I like Big Nate, so here's this week's:

Getting a real Richard Thompson vibe off Wayne there.

Curtis has some clunky dialogue and a lot of SOME GIZMO KIDS WITH THEIR HIPPITY HOPPITY moments, but I like some of the drawings and background gags, and the way Ray Billingsly draws Barry, the younger brother, makes me laugh.

Want that teddy bear.

Bonus because it made think of that Simpsons episode where Milhouse's parents get divorced:

"I sleep in a race car, Homer. Do you get to sleep in a race car?"

"No, I sleep in a big bed with my wife."

I don't know how firefighter duty rosters get made and I would't expect that they'd get their schedules to sync all the time, but I'd think they could do better than that, especially considering they're newlyweds. I can only conclude that whoever makes the schedule hates Brad and Toni as much as the rest of us do.

So, Wallace and Gil are both in RI, as is Intelligent Life and The Tinkersons, according to that one IL strip. (And because Intelligent Life loves being a Family Guy ripoff at every turn).
