I think if we got into a slapfight with iran and used a nuclear weapon against them, even in a tactical level, it would be a major upheaval in the global standards for conflict because we would be using a nuclear device on a non-nuclear power (for the second time, lol)

like that changes things in a way where no one knows what the world would look like the next morning (literally and figuratively)

I mean at that point anyone who got nukes would be using them to achieve tactical-level goals in conflicts, at the minimum, and then after you do that for a minute or two well you might as well start using them as strategic weapons again, right?

we nuke them there so that we don't hafta nuke them here

"U.S./europe are societies that have freedom of speech, why are you criticizing us for airing stories the mainstream media won't tell?"

but the kremlin also sees western societies as weak, gay, decadent, etc. and unwilling to stand up and have a backbone. and the russian government doesn't give a poo poo about wooing the rest of the world into adopting russian culture (like america does). it does not attempt to persuade, but confuse and disorient -- and its coverage is unrelentingly critical and tends to not have much positive stuff about russia.

the email/twitterbots fall into the info umbrella too imo but yeah it'll be interesting when putin's phylactery is destroyed and we see what russia's actually like

As 2016 ends, priests are calling for more exorcists to fight what they are calling “an army of demons.” Satanic groups openly organize against Christianity, even at Christmas. And trendy festivals like Burning Man are increasingly resembling something like a religion.

It’s part of a general trend that has Christians worried. And Karl Payne, former chaplain for the Seattle Seahawks and an experienced exorcist who authored “Spiritual Warfare: Christians, Demonization and Deliverance,” says the danger is real.

“Spiritism is clearly on the rise in North America; typically associated with contacting spirits to communicate with the dead in one form or fashion,” he told WND. “The media is replete with programs and movies glorifying walking and talking with the dead. Can successfully contacting demonic spirits, which is what practitioners are actually doing whether they understand this or not, open up a person to actual demonization? Yes, it can. Is this done purposely? Sometimes it is. Is this done innocently or naively? Sometimes it is. Do demons care whether a person’s motives are purposeful or innocent for involving themselves with demonic spirits?

“No.” Payne said he had worked with people in the past who found themselves caught in demonic bondage both purposely or through something thought of as a game or curiosity. “Demons ultimately have one job, and that is to destroy,” he said. “A friendly demon is a construct of childish entertainment, not reality.”

Carl Gallups, a pastor and the author of “When the Lion Roars: Understanding the Implications of Ancient Prophecies For Our Time,” said he believes the Last Days are drawing near and the reported growth in demonic activity is the fulfillment of prophecy.

My partner's grandad was a photography officer on the B-52s staging sorties from Morocco during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was supposed to film the nukes going off and mostly scared out of his mind. Everyone was just like "Well I guess this is happening now?"

He was also shipped off to random atolls to photograph classified objects falling into the ocean from space. The 60s was pretty cool.

Good post. My only question is the actual affect that RT has... It used to be a favorite with the lefties back in the day, but it's ratings are a drop in the bucket compared FOXNEWS, or even CNN.

As far Youtube... RT 2,002,189 subscribers...

To put that in perspective... The Young Turks have 3,173,670 subscribers on Youtube.

Pewdiepie meanwhile has 52,028,092 subscribers. He will most likely become a head of state one day.

You will all FINALLY get your wish. Reagan is finally dead. 30 years from now GOP candidates for POTUS will be fighting each other for the mantle of TRUMP and answeringevery single question in the 2052 GOP primary debates by recalling how they were in the trenches with TRUMP or explaining how TRUMP would respond to issue X, Y, and Z.

to understand RT and so on, watch China Global Television. it's night and day, and there's a lot more positive stories about China being good and wow, China. look at the Olympics. and China is so prosperous, gee. watch it before you fall asleep because you'll want to zzzzzz...

it's boring stuff. but China's attitude is that no country is equal to China, and no country can become like China, but that through these impressive displays they can be convinced it's in their interest to come toward China and bow before it like tributary states.

Russia sees itself as under assault by an American-led system which brings chaos and disorder. the country has been through hell and has a very different history, it's not a Western country, the population is declining except for the Muslims and there's 20 million of them in Russia. the kremlin feels (with some justification) that the West is trying to destroy Russia and convert it into another compliant vassal of the American empire.

and important for the Kremlin is to demonstrate Russian strength and to tell the West it cannot be ignored or treated as a wannabe America

SEOUL, Jan. 2 (Yonhap) -- A former campaign chairman of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump, Paul Manafort, visited South Korea last month during which he held meetings with the head of the country's intelligence service and senior politicians, according to the politicians who met with Manafort on Monday.

The visit by Manafort to South Korea came before North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, in his New Year's message on Sunday, said that the North is close to launching an intercontinental ballistic missile.

South Korea is also in political turmoil over an ongoing influence-peddling scandal involving President Park Geun-hye.

Manafort separately met Lee Byung-ho, head of the National Intelligence Service, and ruling and opposition politicians, including Kim Chong-in, former interim chief of the main opposition Democratic Party, and former opposition leader Sohn Hak-kyu.

Kim told Yonhap News Agency by telephone that he and Manafort exchanged "general" views on bilateral relations between South Korea and the U.S.

In his Facebook posting on Saturday, Sohn said he and Manafort held "in-depth discussions" about issues on the Korean Peninsula and the Northeast Asia.

Sohn said Manafort showed his interests in "recent political situations" in South Korea.

Manafort is said to have visited Japan and China before arriving in South Korea.

North Korea's Kim said his country has reached the final stage of preparations to test-fire an intercontinental ballistic missile, in a veiled threat that it's about to develop a nuclear missile capable of reaching the U.S. Experts have warned that the communist nation could undertake provocations around the time when Trump takes office on Jan. 20, noting Pyongyang has a record of staging provocations around U.S. elections and transition periods.
