There coming out tattoo ink that lasts 2 years and fades over that time. Of course then you just have 1 year of fresh tattoo 1 year of fading bullshit. With watercolor poo poo at fading. It might be cool to get a proper outline and color it in a way to change it every few years. Water color will fade to poo poo. But if you used the made to fade ink it would disappear 100%

I have an upper biceps piece that goes onto my shoulder a bit and when he was tattooing the top of the joint I could feel the vibrations all the way down the bone. It wasn't so much painful as just intensely unpleasant.

I had the sole of my foot done and ended up not finishing it because every time the needle hit the tendon the muscle would spasm. Muscle cramps on top of the usual pain really sucked. Here's some sole tattoos to make this post worth your time. I think I got all real ones. People are way to credulous about drawn on poo poo and henna.

An artist that used to work in my studio opened his own last year, in his drive to find others to work with him he had a lot of potential 'artists' email him. One of them had a tattoo in his portfolio that was a rip off of my guy's work. When my guy pointed this out the tracer got super offended saying it was his own original idea and if he didn't want him working with him he should just say so and not make that poo poo up as it can be damaging to an artist. My guy sent a reply with just a photo of himself holding the original framed painting. There was one word sent back to him in response: "sorry"

Then again, based on this thread, people are either totally awful at or totally apathetic about evaluating tattoo-artist quality, so... yeah.

I'd heard that most good artists won't copy another artist's tattoo (or even one that they've given another customer without permission)? Don't know if that's true, but it would explain the lovely copies.

Don't know if that's true, but it would explain the lovely copies. If it's an original piece, yeah, they're not going to copy it. It's like a painting, you're not going to go up to an artist and ask him to make you a Mona Lisa. You wouldn't find a local artist and ask him to copy the painting he did for your buddy. Just because the medium is human skin doesn't make it any less unique, and a good artist will want to preserve that. The exception to this is flash pieces, since that's not made specifically for a customer those are okay to copy, and most of them are made just to train apprentices anyway. There's only so many ways you draw the basic standards that a lot of people want.
