I get people shouting POTATO at me in chat (and telling me to kill myself!  ) because I don't have Siege on my SSD so it takes like 15 seconds to load. People get so mad over nothing, it's great.

Before I put it on a SSD, this game had some 1m+ loads for me with an 970 and i7 6700k using regular textures. Now it's instant. Interestingly, The Division had the opposite problem where putting it on my SSD seemed to do almost nothing, but upgrading my other hardware greatly improved the load times.

I don't think I've ever had it take more than about 15-20 second to load. When I used to have it on my SSD, loading was instant, but I'm not dedicating space to this game on that drive, at least until I build a new rig with a bigger SSD. I'm also running a machine that is like 7 or 8 years old, with an old first gen i7, 12 GB of RAM and a 770ti.

Legitimately after I played a bunch of Siege I felt the urge to reflexively peek this one set of doors in my house where a hallway runs along, then turns slightly, and then immediately into another doorway, because it's one of the few situations I see where you get that weird "small sliver of a doorway" view naturally.

I feel like I'm getting worse at the game. I just can't recognize people from scenery tonight. Also apparently my shoulders stretch out for a mile and I can get shot from that door way I can't even see in the spot that should have a worse time drawing line of sight to something down and to the left of me. I remember hearing turning down settings helps distinguish people. Do I have to tank the settings all the way to lowest? I kind of don't want to do that.

Man, I don't know what happened over the last two days, but my uPlay went from being regular garbage like it always is to just straight up loving cancer. I got to play one whole game of Siege before it freaked out and my friend I was squadding with could no longer see me. Then I try to restart siege and uplay is like nah gently caress you. So I restart uplay and it sticks at Initiliaizing, so I try killing the processes and that doesn't help. I reboot and now uPlay is just having a stroke. Is Steam really that hard to rip off? Jesus Christ. Origin is less poo poo than uPlay.

Huh usually with shoulders that big you should be carrying. I don't know about the graphics settings making things easier but you should experiment with sound fidelity (night/TV/hi-fi) if you're getting flanked or out maneuvered.

Why is it there are only two types of teams in unranked matches. The kind that I can pick apart and get at least 3 cluster charge kills per round, and the kind that actually do surveillance and pick me off as I am placing said charge?

poo poo, losing rank because you have to play 3 out of 5 rounds of ranked as 4 people when some asshat disconnects after the first lost round is the fukcing worst. So this is exactly like every other game. But today I've found out that there are a LOT of areas on Skyscraper that don't count as outside, even though they are, and that there is an absolute rear end camping spot in the back entrance of the Bank. Stand in the door, spray people going in.

Try turning down level of detail for far off visual clutter but there's only so much you can do. Or play ash and have a superior hitbox advantage over everyone lol

My friend gets really weird rubber banding and visual lag while playing siege. Initially I wrote it off as lovely network on his end or video settings. But one day I was spectating him after dying and I could see the effects too. When I'd swap to him, it would be choppy and laggy, but when I swapped back to any other teammate it was fine. Any idea what could cause this sort of performance?
