I found a Liveleak video but the description just says it was two ISIS terrorists trying to go on a shooting spree and steal his car. I can't find any news on it. Here's a pic of him in the hospital after.

That flag on top of the conning tower looks a lot like Hungary's flag. Hungary is a land locked country, which would explain the picture.

I wasn't looking for the actual answer, I was wondering how Hungary being a landlocked country explained what was going on to Nuclear Tourist.

ded posted:Looks like a proof of concept testing. I would assume they could have cameras and bombs and whatever else installed on them. First off, the scary part is this is the 6th generation of these drones. It puts in perspective just how secretive the DoD projects are that they can go six generations into a project this big before publicly revealing it. It emphasizes how literally loving anything could be going on in some skunk works. The actual purpose of these drones, as of now, is supposedly reconnaissance. The idea is that a larger UAV can deploy the swarm to scout and report back to the mothership. The drones' AI is distributed in a network between the drones rather than trying to stuff tiny brains into each, so the whole swarm has surprisingly good decision making and self-healing capability. The future is now.

This is some poo poo that Michael Chricton would cook up. In fact, he's already done the self-replicating, distributed intelligence swarm of bots thing before: Prey. loving scary.

This is incredibly similar to the old 2002 Michael Chrichton book Prey where they use distributed networking to create drones that talk to eachother using bird/insect flocking heuristics. The DoD here has literally succeeded at creating hive mind networking. It is really incredible. Now can you loving imagine being the ISIS dudes in your jeeps or whatever out there in the desert and suddenly being surrounded in a circling cloud of those things with that hellmouth noise going on?? Jesus, it would be the sound of unescapable death. edit: beaten.
