Poor dead Flip Flappers. I'm surprised that Keijo couldn't even beat it, though. I would think "goofy fanservice show about the literal power of T&A" would be an easier sell than "surreal, quirky, queer girl's coming of age story." drat. It's pretty crazy for Yuri on Ice to reach even comparable sales to Love Live isn't it? I knew it was a breakout hit, but I didn't realise it got that popular.

I haven't really been interested in anything Nanoha since Strikers (partly from just changing tastes and partly from everything since except maybe the recap movies looking Real Bad) but Vivid Strike didn't even seem to have much of anything at all to do with Nanoha except the universe. Given how long the franchise has been spinning its wheels with SoL 'remember your favorite characters who once upon a time actually did stuff?' stories I'm just surprised that so many still care, but maybe it turned out better than expected or something.

fwiw i heard a rumor that it sold out on amazon and that they didn't count those sales somehow. its somewhat believable considering they miscounted yuri on ice too, ended up adding 15.000 to that

MaiDragon was good, but I found Kobayashi's drunken Proper Maido rant to be a little... unconvincing? Like the music, voices, and images didn't really match up

MaiDragon was a lot of fun in pretty much all the exact ways I expected it to be. I really like Tohru's and Kobayashi's VAs so far, I love what KyoAni's done with the original art, and the jokes all landed. Right up there with LWA atop the first week of the season IMO.
