This lady's defining characteristic* is that she's Chinese; she got these Chinese parents, Chinese airline, speaks in Chinese, etc. In China getting married is a bureaucratic procedure, not some magic words, so she should realize they aren't really married because from her perspective of course they aren't; they didn't contact the local marriage office and they didn't civilly register as married. But hey, why spend a few moments on Google when you can draw feet one-handed, right? *I suppose you could argue "is a musician" is a characteristic but since everyone is in this strip that doesn't set her apart.
