iirc they all draw from the same pool of hardboiled detective types.
And while phantom isnt the the direct inspiration for detective batman, im willing to bet he is for caped avenger bats.

Don't they usually credit "The Shadow" as the main inspiration?

I mean it depends, if you ask Bob Kane I'm sure nothing inspired Batman except the divine creative powers bestowed upon him by Our Lord God

Tell me more about this "Dr Strange and the Sorcerers Supreme". It sounds like the kind of book I would want to read.

Especially because they followed the "Whoppers Junior" rule in the title.

Merlin (yes that Merlin) plucks Dr. Strange as well as a bunch of other Sorcerers Supreme from across the timeline to fight a big monster.

But what if I don't think that comics that feature a variety of wizards from across all off space-time united to unleash world of hurt on a big fuckoff monster are badass?

Have Ghost Rider and Man-Thing ever teamed up? I imagine they'd burn the poo poo out of everything particularly if it is both evil and fearful.

Replace "trusts you" with "are not guilty of vengeance-able crimes" and i'm pretty sure this is exactly how it works.

The Phantom has been :krad: lately which is crazy since this arc started out with weeks long arguments between politicians about stamps.

There was a time years ago when Phantom was absolutely amazing. It was a storyline where the Phantom thought his wife Diana was dead, but she had really been languishing in a Rhodesian Rhodian prison thanks to his archnemesis. It was really stretched out, but it was both nerve-wracking and cathartic to watch it unfold.
