the xX Xx poo poo is old as gently caress, back in the ancient days when the only way to be part of some gaming groups was to have their tag in your name, WNx, xX, [anything in brackets]}- from like CS 1.5, starcraft 1, source games, and the days pre-steam when there wasn't an easy way to identify people who were part of your same group in video games. the shift of internet culture has come to integrated identity tags, guilds, and functions that make this behavior obsolete. People maintain it to feel cool and edgy. Coming up with good names is hard for some people, but not for me, since I keep it stupid and simple for the venue that I engage in.

They implemented a disable 'help' feature because of that. They still have the guy who can throw you into the enemy team though.
