I'm looking for what I think is a slow rock song. It may be something bad and dumb like Imagine Dragons. All I've got is a bit of the chorus stuck in my head, something like "Oh brother help me out" and then it just repeats variations of "Oh brother" and "my brother", I think. I may have totally garbled the words. It's not Mando Diao - God Knows. It's slower than that. E: Found it, Walk the Moon - Iscariot The Mash fucked around with this message at 18:20 on Dec 23, 2016 |

Saw this song a long time ago and loved it. It later became the song fresh Hex off the album maniac meat. https://youtu.be/gjy83vXse7Y I think beck's vocals in the final version ruin it though and I was wondering if this version was ever released on anything other than the original VHS tape.

I have this song stuck in my head but only a brief sample of it. It has an electric sort of beat and during the song ot pauses for a second and then someone laughs like a giggle. The end of the song sounds like a pop and then everyone saying, "yay!" Think it came out in the past two years.

According to this it was released on a DVD, not VHS, so you could probably rip decent quality audio off of that. It sounds like that's as good as you're going to get. That page also mentions someone did a rip already, but I don't know of any links off-hand.

I'm looking for a singer. She was interviewed on NPR, I'm pretty sure on Fresh Air. She was in a band (her father's?) as a kid and sang the bass lines.

Maybe you already know about this, but just in case, Fresh Air has an archive page at http://www.npr.org/programs/fresh-air/archive. I don't know how far back it goes because it's one of those pages that keep adding stuff at the bottom as you scroll down, but if the show in question is recent enough, you might find it.

I heard a song in Starbucks I'm trying to identify. I'm not even sure I like it that much, but it had a synth sound I want to inspect. Recent-sounding, synthpoppy, female vocal. I wrote down lots of lyrics and thought that would be enough to dig it up again, but they're so generic Google is just throwing sand in my face. The words I jotted down were some combination of: know that I am yours we will live forever they say nothing lasts forever I will never leave your side x 10000000 Can anyone figure it out?

https://youtu.be/ynbJwkQtahE It says "wondering in the sky" in the notes but nothing similar comes up when I Google that. Maybe it's just an old obscure Belarusian song, but I would think there's some other recording of it besides just the ex-KGB guy is his bedroom in Minsk.

Trying to identity some old song from the 60s/70s. The chorus goes sorta like "Heeeeeyyyyyy ya sookay, sookay hang on." I liked up "sookay" because I had no idea what the chorus was saying, but I got some Steppenwolf song called "Sookie, Sookie" which definitely isn't the right song. So I recorded this http://vocaroo.com/i/s0h2HNalwwxo

There's a song I heard a while back (probably at least a year or two) linked from the forums. As I remember, it was a pretty chilled out electronic song, but not really ambient. It was heavily based around some piano samples, and I remember it started with some samples that sounded like the piano bench being opened and slammed shut. I'm not sure this is much to go on, and I'm going back through my entire youtube history, but I'm hoping someone here will recognize it before I see any more embarrassing videos that I've watched in the past. e: I found it - it's a bit more ambient than I was remembering, but I don't think my description was way off. Hey I'm looking for a song that some weird old dude sung to me in a mental hospital, lol. its like a folk song, kinda sounds like yankee doodle a little bit its about a couple in the 70s(?) who went around Bonnie and Clyde style and conned people out of money using the church, or something. Basically they pretended to be collecting money for the church but were actually just conning? "something something something, shoulda swallowed that pill" was how it ends I think. its super catchy and I want to find it, and I also want to read about the couple the song is about. Its really bothering me because its on the tip of my tongue. help e: I think it was a televangelist? maybe? fuckkkk why cant i find this ee: I am almost positive it was Jim and Tammy Bakker, but I cant find the yankee doodley sounding song gently caress. I hope its not like, a prison exclusive song or something Eee: welp day 2 and still no luck. Considering institutionalizing myself again just so I can write the drat thing down. Will report back once I'm out I LIKE COOKIE fucked around with this message at 19:33 on Jan 12, 2017 |

Just heard a song on some local-ish station in the UK that plays old songs and all that. Only caught the end but it sounded very similar to the instrumental bit in Mike Posner's Cooler than Me. Very 80's sounding but with a saxophone as the lead instrument but other than that sounded very similar, same kind of chord progression, beat and feel. Faded straight into the next song so there was no announcement of the track title or anything, fuckers.

There's a song from Return of the Jedi I always found weirdly enjoyable and it doesn't appear to be on the OST. It's a chill jam played by the Jabba the Hut's band. it's not the famous one or the abomination from the special edition though. It's sort of a slow lo-fi disco thing with no vocals. This is probably really easy, I just can't find it. It played a little later while everyone at jabba's Palace is lounging around.

Looking for a music video from around 2006 or so. It used to play all the time on some music channel or just TV in general, at least in Europe. It was in English though. It was a pretty bad/generic pop/ballad type song with a female singer. All I remember was it was kinda winter-y with the girl having white/blue themed hair/clothes and I believe she had fake contacts. The background was probably all blue or black. Pretty vague I know but that's all I got. We used to have a running joke about it while I was in the army and I suddenly remembered it.

There's a song that's on a DJ mix I downloaded a few years ago I'd like to find the name of. I recorded the audio of it in my car a bit earlier: https://clyp.it/geb5aqon I've found setlists for this DJ for a bunch of other mixes but I've never been able to find this one specifically, and since it's instrumental I have no idea how to google it. I tried google's music listening search and it found nothing.

There are apparently a few "lost" Max Rebo songs that don't show up on any soundtracks, supposedly because the masters have disappeared. This site has mp3s that have been roughly reconstructed from the movies themselves, and that's kind of as close as you're going to get. I'm guessing you were looking for the track people seem to call Galactic Dance Blast (referred to as Band Plays On on that site), or maybe Sail Barge Dance.
