Oh yeah you did.

But I mean like that Halloween shot, the palm tree isn't right there in your face. Like....there ain't no palm trees here. That shouldn't even be news to people.

EDIT: Okay, I guess it isn't a film version of the shooting, but like, an Elephant kinda thing. Except it looks super lame.

That title is so gross.
They shoulda called it Dark Night Rising. Ooh, or Dark Night Setting.

I wonder if they did research to cherry pick the kids who's lives they could depict all languid and tragic and ignored the ones who were just playing XBox before the movie.

edit: I like the Van Sant/Larry Clark style disaffected youth movies (or used to. They're both shadows of themselves now)
I guess it's just the title that doesn't let me begin to trust it. Ehchh.

I think the funny thing about filming in LA, is that LA looks like nowhere else in the country. It's especially obvious whenever they film in whatever that park is that they use whenever they want to show people out in nature. Dead brown grass everywhere, nothing but those huge trees far apart from each other with the large trunks and the big branches winding around pretty close to the ground, and no other plants anywhere else nearby. That does not look like upstate New York, or rural Georgia, or Minnesota, or anywhere else.

It worked on me, because at first glance that's what I thought it was. An album cover used as a poster.

Yeah, it's a Blue Note reference, but they used way too many stripes.

Oh wow, I thought it was a movie called RELIT. They should've changed that to just a smaller tagline, like "His fuse is re-lit"

Weirdly, according to people who saw it, it borrows a lot more from LOCK, STOCK & TWO SMOKING BARRELS. But I guess there was already a TV show of that so they can't do it again.

The decision to go for a literal translation of "The Thing from another world" always amused me. "Das Ding" is a really common German euphemism for penis. Makes it sound like its own porn parody.

Yes, "schlong" is actually Yiddish, but it comes from the same German root "slange", meaning "snake".

It depends. Some posters are so spectacularly bad, that they just brighten up your day every time you look at them. The vibes are very important, though. Personally, I'd prefer a good poster of a crappy film over a crappy poster of a good film.

I almost like the first, but the empty space in the middle should form a shape (a heart?), as it is it isn't quite right. Second one has the start of an idea with the forhead turning into the other guy, but the diamond just doesn't work, also this isn't Looper so I imagine there isn't much of a literal connection between the two guys.
