I'm trying out the bounty series, and does the voice acting improve? Only Randall's VA has a decent microphone. And you really don't get many dialogue options, or any flavour text.

And you really don't get many dialogue options, or any flavour text. it sure doesn't and yeah for RPG sakes the series is not so bueno. it's basically only interesting in the sense of giving you a story to follow and people to shoot. nvb3 is especially deep in the linear path leading to eyeroll-y stuff but at the very least it gives you somewhere new to shoot people alongside a decent enough reason to shoot them i guess i view them kinda in the same way that i view beyond boulder dome, except beyond boulder dome is both significantly dumber in it's story component and higher quality in it's unique assets and areas. probably the best one that the guy's done is the inheritance, primarily because the basic idea behind the mod is fun because it's built as a postgame/high level mod Arcsquad12 posted:ENB question time. I figure if anyone would know this thread would. Been replaying FNV recently, downloaded a bunch of usual mods and a couple new ones that seemed to be interesting. Around level 8, I am getting random Mobster squads (about 4) drops in the middle of Novac or Nipton, which itself isbn't a problem, but the make itself is getting terrible stuttering from the drops, which last even a reload of the game. Anyone know what mod might add random mobster drops, so I can disable it and say forget it. I figured it out, it was a Karma one with hit squads. Just have to read all the descriptions the next time. If you're just getting started make sure you follow the advice in the OP about getting a mod manager etc. Then go to http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/categories and search for: Freeside Open (removes walls in freeside) Strip Open (same on the strip) YUP (bug fixes) Outside Bets (re-adds content that was removed due to console memory issues) That's all you really need, and of those I'd really only call the last two essential. If the old blurry textures bug you then hit up the Models And Textures category on the nexus site, I recommend Poco Bueno and Weapon texture Overhaul. This is also very good if you've played Fallout 4: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61666/ If you've played the game before on a console and remember any issues you had there's almost certainly a mod that corrects them

Be aware that Freeside Open can be quite taxing on weaker systems, especially if you're using fancy textures or other demanding forms of graphics.

It's alright? If you don't like how someguy does NVB you probably won't like The Inheritance, though I guess you could try it out. It's short. though both NVB II and The Inheritance are more polished experiences than NVB I, so it might work if you almost liked NVB.

Well, I really want to love Freeside Open, but it just doesn't cut it with the slowdown I get as a result. I also can't keep track of all the compatibility patches needed to keep everything running happily together. Thankfully, Sandbox6 made a mod that cleans up FSO after an uninstall so I just used the other New Vegas Uncut series mods in place of FSO. Mmmmm, Weapons of the New Millennia, why did I not install you sooner? I love my Baretta. Also, you guys should check out Freeside Restoration if you'd like an alternative to Freeside Open. It's a pretty cool overhaul of the area's looks, but I like it. They actually cleaned up the place a fair bit. EDIT: Ugggggggggh, I don't know what I expected. I decided to tough it out and use New Vegas Redesigned 3. I was already bothered by how the guy who made this put all the rapey poo poo into Fortification Hill, but it seems with his updates he's gone a step further. I was doing the quest The Coyotes, and it seems that Dracomies also redid a bunch of stuff in Casa Madrid. Such as being able to walk in on a cum splattered prostitute sucking off a customer, peeking through a blocked door to see a guy loving a tied up woman, and adding a holotape to Saint James's room. Said holotape has what sounds like a young girl asking this creepy as gently caress sounding voice to help find her mom and try to pull off an explosive collar. Knowing how explicit and obsessive the mod author gets with his stuff, I get the sinking feeling he got an actual child to record the lines, which just makes me shudder. He's apparently working on Redesigned 4 now, only this time, he's also getting new voice acting to replace some of the actors to better fit his new face meshes. I seriously hope he decides to make this stuff modular in the future, because the feature creep in the mod is just that, loving creepy. I know. It's like Dracomies feels that, if you don't actually see the rape and poo poo happening, then it isn't really. I know that for all of New Vegas's praise, a lot of dialogue is exposition, but there is a difference between being aware that prostitution, whoring and sex slavery are a thing in Fallout, and another thing to start modding rape pens into Fortification Hill and having semen splatters for the sake of "realism".

Got back into Vegas modding after like an hour on Fallout 4 and this thread has been a godsend. Anyway, I'm trying to get Lazarus Project working with a wireless Xbox One controller. The mod page (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61824/) says that if you have Lutana NVSE plugin it should pick it up automatically, so I got that installed but pressing right stick in doesn't seem to do anything? MCM definitely recognises Lazarus so it seems to have installed OK. The page for Lutana (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55399) seems crazily obtuse. I've tried installing it with FOMM and also extracting it and putting it in the NVSE plugin folder, but stiill no dice. Do I have to do something with all the functions that are listed on the page? Can anyone help out?

So I downloaded the JSawyer Ultimate edition mod and am enjoying it, but the backpacks in it when worn just show up as a big red and white exclamation point (meshes are missing). Are there any other mods needed to get the backpacks to work properly?

In any case, you need to specify which version of it is being used, it could be something else like a mismatch between Spice of Life or Project Nevada Equipment module.

Another question, I am using NVAC, Stutter Remover, Better Game Performance, etc. to make sure the game runs smooth. For the first 5-6 levels of the game there are no problems. But when I hit Nipton at night, all of a sudden my game starts to stutter when I start inside a house and go out. This continues on even when I leave the area by fast travel or other modes of transportation. I did a complete uninstall/reinstall clean-up, installed a bunch less mods this time, and yet this happened again just the other day. Really takes the enjoyment out when the game keeps freezing for a couple of seconds every 30 seconds or so. Any idea what the culprit is? Should I adjust FPS and such? Also, could that Nexus Mod Manager stop updating every few days? This is the 3rd time in the last month. Keep uninstalling and reinstalling all my mods, that takes some time. EDIT: I tried to change the Stutter Remover MaxFPS from 0 to 60 as advised on the frontpage. Modified the uinterior uexterior numbers in the main game file. Stuttering is still there once I go through Nipton, and now my game is freezing if it stutters.
