Looks like someone translated the first chapter of gyaru cooking. If it actually does something with apparently the other adults in her life telling her not to bother trying there could be something interesting. It's not going to do anything with that plot point or be remotely about that.

Maybe if they had fleshed out the other aspects, the love conflict aspect wouldn't have felt so stretched?
