Seat Safety Switch posted:I'm really glad you didn't wade into the microcomputer debate just now with one of your howling VMS abominations. $ I hate computers. At LISA (Large Installation Systems Administration conference, run by USENIX) last year, attended by several thousand admins from basically all the main bits of Internet infrastructure (both above and below the waterline), researchers, STEM people (cern, hospitals, large cluster providers) etc, the majority were using Macs, as reported by the wifi providers. I found that the deeper into the industry one gets, the fewer petty Mac/PC/linux/android/ios bollocks people care about. meltie fucked around with this message at 02:42 on Jan 19, 2017 |

My truck has ~237k miles on it and it's been about 12k since I last changed the oil... I'm thinking change it and run something cheap for about a thousand miles, then change and run my regular oil (10w30 Castrol high mileage) just to get any possible gunk out. Should I do anything else? I usually change it at 5,000, fwiw.

I tend to blow through jeans like no other. After a year, the knees are blown out, its full of other holes and the crotch is juuuust wearing a hole in it. I live in my jeans. Edit: also, how much you want for the headlight assemblies off your speed 6 parts car? Assuming you aren't using them ofc.

Parts car might be a no go, US Customs wants an inspection of the vehicle to prove it is non-op before they'll let it in the country. But it's 4 hours from the border and the inspection has to be performed by a customs official and it is pretty expensive to have their guy drive and do it. Like, almost a grand when it's all said and done which makes it not worth doing. I have another round of phone calls tomorrow to see if I can make this work but I'm not hopeful at this point.

Anyone around here have an 8th gen civic Si? I've got a set of stock rims (sold the car) intake spacer, silicone intake tube cut for it, and a k&n panel filter for the stock box. Never over oiled the filter when I cleaned it. Will let it go for low low low. Also those rims fit a ton of hondas from that year. Depressing.

The last pair of jeans I bought were some APC raw denim and it has been hell to get them broken in. Everyone says two sizes down. I can't help but think my life would be better if I had only gone down one size. They are just now starting to get some nice fades and honeycomb behind the knee. I got them two years ago and make it a point to wear them as often as possible. They have loosened up more in the last five months but now I fear that it's only going to be a few more months before the crotch gets blown out. I might try one of those denim repair places just because I have committed a long time of my life being uncomfortable in them for them to start looking good. This will probably be my last pair of raw selvedge denim.
