They don't even show emotion on those dashboard cam videos where crazy poo poo happens right in front of their eyes. That depends on the person and their individual level of culture and education. When I took Russian back in college, the only curse word I was ever taught was their word for "pancake." I still have no idea why it's considered a curse word.

You really should jump more during fights. I have to say I also generally dig DOOM 2016's version of post-Hell Mars.Until the demons start teleporting in, you could imagine that the human survivors just went insane and ate each other, then arranged the corpses as ornaments.

What were all the Easter Eggs in that room, btw? I'm not well versed in Doom mythos. Also, it's interesting how many representations of hell exist that are based from Dante's Inferno, yet almost all of them have fire and brimstone aesthetics while in the poem, the deepest realms of hell were ice and snow. Also had the city of Dis, a horrible realm where one gets mocked by terrible rappers for all eternity.

I probably missed some of the Easter Eggs, but the major one that I noticed was that the cube with the glowy yellow bits that Alexey briefly looked at, was the Soul Cube from Doom 3, where it was the ultimate weapon needed to win the game, and also generally a useful artifact.

They went full Russian, but I grew up going to a Greek church because there were more kids my age there. Back then Orthodoxy was this big counter-culture thing because it was anti-USSR, and all of my parents' friends were old Tsarists with three-color flags hidden away for when the day came. Then the day came and it sounds like the church sold out hardcore. It's still really jarring to me that they so quickly bedded with the totalitarian regime that would include them, but I won't pretend to ever be surprised by that kind of thing.

You said that there wasn't much interesting here. I kind of disagree: It's an interesting note that, despite Hayden being her biggest backer and giving her the opportunity to work in absolute freedom with god knows how many resources, she refused to work for him. Only once he sends her some cursed relic of hell that drives her obsession does she do as he asks. Yet another thing about this that is Hayden's fault. Also, that hologram of the sacrifice: Nice detail that the sacrifice is shown clearly trying to breathe after the first two stabs. Poor dude, they didn't even finish him properly.
