Please stop talking like the Falcons have already won this. If they lose, I will kill all of the offenders with a combination of my very special skills and superstition-originated white-hot anger. tia

Irsay in December: Luck won't need surgery Today: Luck has surgery he needed in December (actually needed in 2015 because he wasn't fully recovered)

I just don't get why players wait on surgery. Kyle Long was IRed in November and has needed labrum surgery since. He waited, and isn't getting surgery until a couple weeks from now. What benefit is there to delaying your healing time and rehab by more than two months?

Most people don't want invasive surgery if there's a chance things will heal on their own with physical therapy

Can physical therapy heal a torn labrum?

fishing with the fam posted:Can physical therapy heal a torn labrum? Not completely, but you can make it more manageable. Physical therapy is about rebuilding the strength in the shoulder to keep it together. If after awhile the doctor isn't seeing the results they like, that's probably when they're gonna recommend surgery.

Huh. I thought pretty much all cartilage and ligament tears required surgery.

Sometimes doing surgery immediately isn't feasible. Inflammation, type of injury and anatomy might make it neccessary to rehab and hypertrophy certain muscles and connective tissue in order for the surgery to be performed successfully.

6 months means a pretty substantial shoulder procedure unless this is one of those things where surgeons remove like an ingrown toenail then says he doesn't know if the player will ever play again due to the severity of the injury
