Nah I think most of them don't even use facebook, they just stay on freep. Though Reddit would be great for them, the up/downvote system would ensure proper echo chamber-yness by floating all the popular thoughts to the top and suppressing all unpopular thoughts through downvotes.

Facebook started throwing repeated and random demands that I log in while browsing the freep Facebook group, so no screencaps here. Freep legitimately does not understand the nature of today's literally world-wide protests. Lots of anti-feminist image macros, a whole bunch of abortion talk, and a whole bunch of "yeah I went out and protested also, but my protest was in the form of a vote  ". They ate up media hype stories about celebrities like Madonna using - *gasp* - profanity in their speeches, etc, etc. Freep completely believed every word out of Sean Spicer's mouth today. In case you aren't in the loop on this one, he gave a press conference (in which no questions were permitted) in which he yelled at the press for reporting inaccurate attendance numbers and one factually incorrect tweet that was later retracted and corrected. The statement went as far as saying it was the most attended inauguration ever. The problem is that the attendance numbers given by Spicer are inflated and are not just not backed by any evidence, but are actively demonstrated to be incorrect by all available evidence. For example, he says that the crowd was measured using magnetometers, but the Secret Service says that they didn't even use magnetometers to measure the crowd size. Even if you do something stupid and include television ratings, it still doesn't hold a candle to Obama's. CNN's headline on the issue is White House press secretary attacks media for accurately reporting inauguration crowds. Caution: autoplaying video with audio. It is also loving infuriating. For the record, the initial low-end estimates for the inauguration are in the 250k range. This is on the low end of normal (250-400k) since Reagan moved the ceremony to that side of the capital, with Clinton's first (800k) and both of Obama's (1.8M & 1M) being the exceptions. Initial low-end estimates for the women's march on DC are in the 500k range, for comparison. The mirrored protest in LA was estimated at 750k. The nation-wide attendance estimate is in the 2.5 million range. The protests were international as well, but I don't have figures available. Anyway, within about half an hour of Spicer yelling at the press, journalist twitter was pretty sure that the effectiveness of Trump's lies about media coverage would mean that his groupies would believe his lies and not reality. Freep demonstrates this to be true. The man whose job it is to come out and inform the press as to what's going on in the executive branch instead came out and told blatant lies. We are basically not going to be able to trust anything that comes out of the executive branch. We are hosed as a nation and I am terrified.
