Obviously Fairy Tail is Fairy Tail but man it really stands out how weird the writing can be. She's burdened with a curse that comes from accepting a dragon's power to stave off human extinction, which is pretty dark in and of itself. But of course she can't just freak out and flee into the wilds, she has to be tortured and stripped naked so we can have creepy panels that actually have little narrative bearing. She kills a dude she doesn't even name from a country she doesn't even name. And then goes from "I just want to have my baby" to going crazy and dumping her in an alleyway. By weird I guess I mean bad but it's sort of compelling in this hosed up disjointed way I guess.

Also given that this is Fairy Tail I give it a 50% chance that she's lying about the past.

The really weird thing is her unnamed husband just up and deciding to act like she was a witch. Like, he clearly was allied with her and the dragons and the war was over. But suddenly it's a crime to love or hate dragons and she's a monster that they should totally torture and degrade. A monster they clearly know is super powerful and think is turning into a dragon, a creature which only Eileen and Acnologia are capable of even fighting.

I seriously blanked on that page entirely. It's also kinda hilarious how a top-tier dragon-slayer just let people torture her. She's one of the first and she survived the war, she was probably a total beast. But FT.

even when she busted out she didn't burn down the city or anything. she didn't really become malicious or even vengeful until she got a small taste of being human again. however, this is ft. everyone just does whatever, often for no particular reason. there is no reason to read too much into the newest batch of random bullshit mashima came up with.

Plus Eileen's body was explicitly broken in several ways, a fact that is the sole reason she so badly wanted to steal another in the first place. Even if Wendy was okay with it in the short term it's pretty obvious she'd want out at some point just like Eileen did.
