PM is presenting on webex. some manager sends an email throwing a team that is also on the webex under the bus. outlook notification pops up in the corner accusing that team of playing dumb about something thanks to previewing that first line in the pop up.

either nobody else noticed enough to pipe up, or they're keeping quiet to complain behind the scenes, so the popcorn was unneeded.

you just have to have a second screen just for sharing that doesn't get notifications or have desktop icons

yup, and windows will if you're presenting through skype.

in this case he was neither on an external screen, nor on Skype, but remote and using a vendor's presentation stuff. zoom.us? haven't otherwise ever heard of it.

I'd decided zoom was trash because there's no per client muting, but apparently that's all of them?

AAB

you can do per client muting on zoom if you're the meeting host or an account admin. mya have to enable it in the extended account features though.

5k is pretty annoying because fonts that are readable locally are just a blur over someone's lte connection

was it this thread where all the dick popups were shown as grey squares because the host was only sharing the application

they switched me to a new office. this office features a vent thingy that is apparently shared with the office next to me.

i can hear the lady in the next office sitting on hold with the conference musing playing.

bonus, non-webex content: the new office is across the hall from one of our assistant VPs. he gets in early, and quietly, so yesterday there's a strong chance he heard me rip an enormous fart when i thought nobody else had gotten in to the office yet.
