I will never be the same person I was before Glee, but I have learned to accept it. I suppose that's its own kind of okay. :unsmith:

Butt first, let's
check the feeds.

I have a serious aversion to musical episodes myself, and some of that may be Glee PTSD. It took me a couple of weeks to watch the recent musical episode of Always Sunny. I started it like 3 times and reflexively went "ugh, musicals" and turned it off.

Pretty glad that everything got pretty much tied up, drama-wise, this is episode so they can focus on the task at hand, which is undeniably screwing up the future cause of their shenanigans. Wally is part of the team, Julian is part of the team, HR and Cisco made up, and Barry/Iris shared the future vision with the team (minus Joe, naturally, which won't backfire), so it minimizes the stupid poo poo we have to deal with later on, hopefully.

HR remains the best, though.

Let's get this straight. In order to beat the bad guy Barry has to gently caress up the future? Finally, the part he was born to play.

I haven't seen the episode yet but...why does the Kid Flash suit look so unwieldy and ill-fitting on Keiynan Lonsdale? He's not an unwieldy boy. He's bigger than Grant Gustin but not that much bigger. But they manage to fit Barry's suit fine but Wally's suit looks like last-minute cosplay.

I'm just glad everyone (except for Joe ) was told about what is going on. Last season it would have taken 3 episodes for Barry to tell Iris, and another 4 episodes to tell the rest of the team.

Yeah that's the big thing I'm glad about. That's also the big reason I stuck with Supergirl so long in season 1, because she explicitly cannot keep a secret.

Secrets in the DCW shows are generally the worst part.

DO YOU HEAR THAT? THAT'S THE SOUND OF ME PATTING MYSELF ON THE BACK.

That's one striking difference when comparing the MCU and DCI is secret identities just aren't a thing with the MCU and I think it sidesteps a lot of unnecessary drama.

The only exception is likely going to be Spider-Man since that's in the MCU now.

I never understood the whole "Letting my loved ones know who I am puts them at risk" thing. No, your enemies knowing who you are puts them at risk. You giving them a heads up could help them if an enemy finds out. Not telling them is selfish.

Fortunately, we seem to be past that now for the DC shows.

Barry's thing was that if Iris knew she'd try to help him and get hurt.

But she tried to help the Flash regardless so it didn't matter.

17 episodes later he realized this and told her.
