Do people who spout this poo poo really not see, even for a second, how telling it is that their stance is "the Holocaust DEFINITELY did not happen... _{but even if it did, it would be okay.}"? Or do they just think we don't?
They're saying Hitler was right and that men, women, and children "deserved" to be executed, but they know that's not going to fly with most people so they tack on "ah but it's a lie anyway so don't sweat it".

I think we are putting too much thought into this. Analysing why they do it is counterproductive. All we are doing is trying to use empathy, something they completely lack, to better understand their humanity and assign reason to their actions, which is more than they don't deserve since they are loving Nazis.

Just keep referring to them as Nazis until it sticks. :colbert:

There is something funny about the fact that for all the arguing over whether it's okay to punch Nazis, everyone accepts the fact that Spencer is a Nazi as part of the premise, which itself is probably one of the best PR weapons against him.

I mean, even a lot of the historical Nazis had a hard time stomaching the holocaust and chose to deny it as Ally propaganda. They deny the holocaust because they believe that it's the only reason why people dislike the Nazis. They think that if they can bring people around on "clean" Nazism then they can bring them around on the holocaust being justified.

Step 2: ignore whatever they're saying
Step 3: go back to step 1.

I think that with all the stuff about "post-truth" and "alternative facts" people should understand that you can't reason with right-wingers. They'll just say that you're the liar and ignore the truth. Whether it is about Nazi crimes, climate change, evolution, or the roughly spherical shape of the Earth, it doesn't matter, their strategy is always the same. There will always be enough simpletons who will be confused into agreeing with them, or going for a meek "the truth must be in the middle" bullshit.
