I got to spend $160 for a tech to come out and wipe down the rollers on a document scanner that was making an awful noise.

Not to mention that it would be illegal here to even do that. Where is "here"? I'm just curious, I've deployed UTM solutions with MiTM filtering in a number of international locations and never had a legal/HR issue with it. Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Great Britain, Germany, Dubai and India so far. Other than the defacto greatest country.

The SSL inspection stuff only really works if you're in a position to be able to deploy the root certs that go along with it.

DigitalMocking posted:When was the last time a user checked a cert as long as it's green, really? :p Pretty similar to Germany for the most part. But yeah, I know no normal user will check anything beyond a green lock, if even that. But if you were to educate users to actually check the cert chain... Yeah, no. Why is SA's cert shared with so many porn sites?

Though that client should really use his company e-mail address instead of iButt so I also have the Millennial to Snake People one installed but that doesn't really cause any issues.

Ticket phone call email all came in at the same time. Someone is quitting in style: All printed items now show the company name as WE SUCK DICKS 8====D The "all users" permissions in our ERP software for some reason includes the ability to edit the company name. My favorite part is logging is disabled since everything already logs a username next to it so it just doubles up on everything (but a few functions that don't). Last time it was enabled it crippled the old server. Maybe my request to test logging on the new hardware will be approved. We have hundreds of custom permission groups with tons of overlap and most people are members of 50+. I'm going to have to audit every one of these next week now. Which is also something I said should be done and have never been given time to do! pixaal fucked around with this message at 20:58 on Jan 26, 2017 |

pixaal posted:Ticket phone call email all came in at the same time. Some Powershell may help you get started: code:
Once you have that you should be able to save that code into a ps1 script and run, should return a csv with the format of "GroupName","Member", for example: "Accounting","Bill Nye" "Accounting","Clark Kent" "Burglary","Carmen Sandiego" "Servers","LessThanActiveDirectory" And so on. Open into Excel, make a Pivot Table with Row Labels of GroupName and then Member to get a list of all members in each group, or Row Labels of Member and then Group Name if you want it sorted as a list of members with all groups each is in. Picks up machines as well as users, which can be helpful in finding out if you have a sales machine grouped somewhere it shouldn't be.
