It's pretty amusing to me that they wrote themselves out of the awful Black Canary statue situation by having it destroyed, and then later in front of its wreckage we get the following dialogue: "We should build a new one." "I think we can do better."

I kinda dig lovely-circumstances Laurel 2. I'd be totally okay with her having a change of heart and being The New Laurel. Oh well. I'm assuming this new Canary will be named Dinah-something.

New Canary's name is Tina Bolland. It's not from the comics so we don't get any hints. Guggenheim said this episode lays "a very specific seed" that will be coming to fruition later on. I don't think that's how you describe something as blunt as "We need a new Canary" *cut to New Canary* so I don't know if they're done with Earth 2 Laurel. They were pretty clear in their comments over the break that they consider Green Arrow/Black Canary a pairing that's impossible to get away from; I can't imagine they go with an entirely new character and just use the power and moniker. At least, I hope not.

With them focusing on Ollie being dead on Earth 2 and the theme of the episode being about resurrection, I was beginning to wonder if Prometheus is actually Ollie-2. He "died" here, who's to say he didn't go on a cruise and end up somewhere that turned him evil. Even Bratwurst guy made a comment about what he could have become.
