I'm running this game on high with low AA on a 6gig, DDR2 system with an ATI HD6450. Runs smooth, but my lovely HDDs bottleneck me in midtown..

Well, the listing of all eight affixes does read "-15% Primary Resource Cost Reduction" after all. I'm sort of impressed that whoever implemented his managed to correctly parse the double negative instead of incorrectly doing the only sensible thing this affix could possibly have meant. That takes focus.

So Colossus has some fun build stuff right now. Cost reduction reduces the cooldown on his sig, so you can get a ~16 second sig right now, and one of the talents reduces that by an additional 10 when you're out of armor (anytime something is hitting you basically.)

Also, his summons are a good time. I need to find a way to work in some +summon duration.

I see we're back to the launch durability for Punisher, eg, he dies when someone farts on him. Black Widow and Winter Soldier arn't any better. For that matter Captain America also dies very easily.

Is there any way at all that I can turn off all the extra exp bonus?
I like to grind Midtown, but the amount of exp has been huge for more than a year now in bonus given. I have no interest in using exp potions since I like to level up slow, but with all given through the game itself due to events, I am leveling up faster than I like. I even try to walk around most exp orbs, but that is not always a posibility.

Star-Lord's pretty fragile too, but at least Cosmic Spirit catalysts tend to have a 2m self-rez as an affix. Which is sadly the best survivability boost I've seen on any character that didn't have Durability scaling in this rework.

Ol' Painless is a level 56 talent so it's useless for leveling, and that DR from missing health is useless if you take too much damage too fast. I'm sure he's fine when you can stack the poo poo out of +health on him but he's squishy before then and miserable to level.

Oba-Ma... Oba-Ma! Oba-Ma, aasha deh!
leveling any character to 60 on a fresh account with no boosts or synergies takes like 3-4 hours tops if you just play through story mode, or under an hour for anyone who's played the game as much as most of us here have

the only reason i could see dying while leveling up any character in story mode or patrol zones is if you set the difficulty to red and then forgot about it, and if you're leveling up solo, the extra XP from heroic difficulty doesn't actually help you level up faster because of the extra time it takes to kill every boss

excellent sources of survivability:

Lemuria relics. Despite cooldown standards set by gaz long ago, Lemuria still has its legacy cooldown of ~0.2s. That means it's giving you over 1k hp/s in combat.

Perseus. This item by itself will easily double your ehp. Will let you tank through almost anything in cosmic patrols.

Radioactive catalyst 5k hp on medkit bonus. Only radioactive catalyst using heroes can do this, but get one with 25% medkit and this bonus and you can heal from near dead to full nearly instantly.
