There's a Whoopi joke somewhere, but I don't know what it is... I would go as far as to say that the first instance of group sex is pretty awkward afterwards, regardless of who participates

Craving food from my home town. Managed to find a recipe nearly identical to the one my mom uses for caldillo, from the same cookbook she bases hers on. Scaled WAY down and in a slow cooker instead. In the morning, I will feast, and I will feast upon this for days and days and days. And I found said cookbook and ordered it. Gotta love penny + $3.99 shipping cookbooks.

bend posted:We're doing something like that with the middle daughter (also 9). She didn't steal from us though, she just continually loses everything. It was ~$200 in school uniform gear last year that disappeared completely within three months of purchase, plus all sorts of other random poo poo like books and toys and things. Now she's got a tab running on the fridge (we were lenient and started it at $100) to pay it back. I think she's down to about $80 now and strangely enough hasn't lost anything in about six months My daughter seems to have stopped losing her personal electronics (lost a DS, and a couple of MP3 players) when we didn't replace those and made it very clear that if she lost her phone (when we got her one), she wouldn't be getting another. She likes playing with the phone enough that it sunk in, I guess. She did eventually get another DS, but she paid for that with Christmas/Birthday monies. CAT INTERCEPTOR posted:As long as we get more covering why the whole shitfight started in the first place and how the narrative of OUR BRAVE SOLDIERS FIGHTING FOR DEM FREEDOMS!!!! is in fact a rancid bunch of crap. Not to mention that WW2 was a direct result of how we treated the losers in WW1. That said, in both wars many men did very brave things for their countries and their comrades, despite it eventually being at best a moot point. That doesn't diminish the bravery. The perception of the versailles treaty being unfair was played up heavily by the german government for sympathy, who then tried multiple times and ways to get out of it. A majority of the fault for ww2 lies on the various german governments between 1920-1939.

The Treaty of Versailles punished the German people more than it punished those at the top so created an environment for a populist leader to emerge. It didn't cause WW2 by itself but allowed certain conditions to develop. Also in WW1 Japan was an ally of those fighting Germany. However they got so stiffed in the treaty negotiations after that they felt insulted and so went on their own gently caress you got mine trip.

The demands and payments were ridiculous and the inflation it caused got so bad people were burning cash for fuel and Germany was always going to want Alsace Lorraine back. The winning side completely poo poo all over the Germans after WW1 there was legitimate reasons to ask that it be torn up.
