There is no way if i was a formula 1 driver i would not go for some kind of novelty facial hair. Like big Civil War muttonchops, or a John Waters pencil mustache. Its practically traditional (abandoned i am sure when the drivers became boring sponsor robots)

Lewis Hamilton was one of the few drivers that's still had a unique helmet they didn't change every other week. That is before Maya Angelou poo poo all over it. I'm very very close to not being a die-hard Lewis Hamilton fan anymore

It certainly was a very original and totally not copied helmet design that we haven't seen before. At least we can laugh at that fourth red stripe added for the 2016 season, only to have it's corresponding star robbed by Rosberg The Lesser.
