AH yes, the casual Typhon twin spartan list

I could field a list with a Typhon, Spartan, a Phobos, and *two* Proteus in it if I wanted. Ironically I'm more lacking for light transports like Rhinos. And yeah, the Spartan is cool and practical but the mini itself just doesn't have the same visual oomph as the Typhon does. I saw somebody making a Spartan equivalent out of the bottom half of a Lord of Skulls and that looks like an awesome project.

Is there a conversion kit to make the gun on the Typhon more biglyer?

Try not to cry at the size and terrible location of some of the resin gates on your very expensive model.

Thankfully it looks like the really offensive gating is on the display base which I won't use 90% of the time, but it's still going to be something I have to deal with and holy poo poo is it bad in those places. I'm mostly worried about poo poo getting warped, particularly the ammo feed to his wrist guns. I'm also very mildly worried about loving up magnetizing his right hand since loving it up won't be as easy to fix as just getting a new tac marine arm or whatever.

The nice part about resin is that you can heat it up with hot water and slowly bend it into shape. So don't worry about the gun bits.

I don't know if he will bring it tomorrow, but your opponent likes his leviathan dreadnought in a dreadnought drop pod. Might want to make sure you have a plan for that possibility (lots of heavy bolters in the back?). Otherwise looks pretty solid. Should mulch anything on foot.

You guys soak your resin for hours? I do a dunk and toothbrush scrub in lightly warmed soapy water, then dunk in clean water and let dry. Am I doing a wrong?

I might want to wiggle some points around and get lascannons on my javelin- i figure that + storm eagle lascannons shots ought to be able to pop a leviathan. My army also spreads out nicely so once it lands I can also just run away from it and make it impossible for him to kill enough to make it's points up.

I didn't heat up my resin for a long time because I was scared I guess of damaging my precious jewels. I regret waiting so long to heat that poo poo up. For smaller bits, at least, you just need a shot glass and some hot water from a faucet. That's how I bend my autocannons and belts.

Nice, thanks for confirming, dudes. Fortunately I muck up my treads pretty good with mud and snow so I can cover some of that if there's any problems. DrPop posted:Just want to highlight this. I have a water boiler meant for making tea, so I just heat up a small cup for bending resin and have myself a cuppa while I'm at it.

If you have an older washing machine, you can get hot water directly from it by turning it to hot and holding a coffee cup under the tap.

Most full sized commercial coffee machines have a spout for direct boiling water if you just happen to have one kicking about.

And they've nicknamed that place the Gavrage. What causes the warping? Removing the piece from the mold too fast? I've had a warp talon from Forgeworld where the wing pieces were wrapped like a pretzel.
