I'd like to point out that you're wrong here since Jojo's bizarre adventure exists. But, GW writing and art could never really come close to the writing and fashion sense of Hirohiko Araki so you'd be right.

You forget that Jojo is also about insanely convoluted oneupmanship, sometimes involving italian food. Honestly almost every fight in Jojo is one guy is invincible, other guy figures out how to beat him anyway (except for in a few cases where Araki just straight up murdered characters for extra pathos), but it's entertaining to watch (or read).

Which is not something I can say for anything GW itself has put out (the video games are okay).

I would probably be more entertained by space marines if some of them dressed like Zeppeli, but GW says that's only allowed on Harlequins.

Sometimes they do funny things though. There was one anime that was a prequel to a manga. They did all this advertising showing off new characters and saying that the characters from the manga were not going to be in it. First episode comes along and that is indeed the case... until the end of the episode where they kill off every character they introduced and then in episode 2 the cast from the manga showed up. Not saying it was a good anime or that anime was good, but it was a pretty good troll.

E: I am starting to realize why this new stuff is bumming me out. It's still ever more Space Marine stuff(tm). Yes there is Eldar stuff as well, but this seemingly unending focus on Space Marines is so boring. I get it, Space Marines are popular, SRM is probably loving this stuff and good on him for loving what he loves; but I wish they would stop spotlighting their golden boys and almost exclusively their golden boys. They aren't interesting unless you are into the fluff of Space Marines. I liked Orks because they were just Orks. No real politics, just shooting and fighting. I don't want to know the courtly intrigue of white ubermensch in invulnerable power armour. Give me grit, give me low fantasy. Abnett was the one of the few to do Space Marines properly. They terrify normal people and just one Chaos Marine was a huge problem. Stories of all but infallible god-men punching each other forever until the end of time is deadly dull.

Yup. It's true I'm getting annoyed with space barbies. Please be sure to call me out on it, and don't forget to cite the length of my post and just how butt-hurt I am on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most butt-hurt. TIA.

Yer not especially butthurt, and I do believe that concervation of Marines should be thing. They should be scary both in TT and in lore.

Unfortunately, marketing is driven by the lazy.

It's actually pre-existing lore that he will never unsheath the sword until he's before the Emperor, and then either offer it to him asking for forgiveness or slay him with it.

So fluff wise it makes sense he's carrying it but can't actually reach it.
