Only less than 2 days. I just pre ordered the Digital Deluxe edition this morning and started downloading. I never expected to be this excited and impatient for a new game release until playing the Last Chance Trial, but here I am.

You can play bosses again right? It was always a shame that ( besides the best one dark souls 2) you had to play through the whole d amn game if you wanted to fight a boss again .

This is hands down the biggest advantage of the mission system over souls-style contiguous world. Revisiting areas in souls was alway anticlimactic becaise there's not boss and you've outlevelled the normal enemies.

Which, even if you get overlevelled for it, is way better and lets you try poo poo. My point is that souls areas are built around getting to the boss. The first time you go through one, there's alway thr challenfe of the regular enemies and the adventure of finding shortcuts etc. But once you kill the boss, there's almost no reason to ever go back on the same playthrough. When you get stuck, you dont have the option to go back to a part of the game you liked and replay it, because there's nothing to do there. In Nioh, there is. Remember, I didn't say this was a better system, I said that was the biggest upside of discrete missions.

You could replay bosses in souls by co-oping as a phantom, but then if the host sucked it was frustrating, and then you couldn't fight them solo which is more challenging. I've always wanted that feature in souls.

Yeah, the way ng+ is gonna work (are we still spoiler tagging it?) Is gonna be really cool for being able to go back and fight ng near end bosses while working on ng+.

Been playing since Friday, off and on. Not so much of an insta hard-on like Bloodborne (but I bought a fat PA3 for DeS) but it seems to be a better game, technically speaking. I'm stilll stuck on the first boss, though.
