It was mostly meeting Americans on holidays outside the US, I went and played Rugby at the US Naval base in Naples about 5 years ago and those guys were pretty dumb, I saw them doing stupid poo poo like drinking pints of salt water as a drinking game punishment. I also spent some time plowing a high-school teacher from Iowa when I was in Mexico a while back, she was smart but just didn't seem to have any idea what was going on outside the USA.

I did meet a couple of young lecturers from UCLA when I was in Thailand 2 years back, they almost gave me a stroke when they told me how much it cost for them to finish their degrees. They were sharp though.

Last time I was in Florida on business I got asked by a factory exec if our offices in London were close to England.

There should be a lot more live audiostreams of court hearings just like that one. That was awesome to listen to in real-time as everyone was arguing their cases. Probably going to be used in classrooms around the country at some point.
