It's currently way past where the anime left off and there have been some seriously big plot developments. The last few pages of hype have been for emotional, suspense-filled card games, and the next chapter is going to be a clash of the Titans, a duel to the death with blood on the tatami, too shocking for pay-per-view, a battle of tactics and memory and reaction time so epic that the fate of the entire universe depends upon the outcome! Chihaya will probably sleep through it.

If they didn't bother to dub Shirobako which was also a critical darling, I'm sure they will be a-ok with giving it a sub only release. I'd be happy if they did a premium release box though.

Just finished my rewatch of the show. Still owns. I forgot a lot of the more emotional moments int he journey through the big plot points and felt all the feels a second time. It was really good, and I still hope for a season 3. I'm reading the manga now but it's just not the same.
