Honestly, that's what I love, is getting little gifts from my past self to my present-day self. On Saturday, I received this $0.48 pin and it's cute and 1/9th the price of a Starbucks special coffee experience (or whatever it's called, I don't get Starbucks). So if you ascribe to the "treat yourself occasionally", it makes more sense to get 1 stupid thing like that pin every day than a special coffee once a week. It's a crazy world.

I think overall Aliexpress has saved me money because it's also made me way cheaper. $3?! For a fuckin croissant?! eat poo poo, that's like six amusing pins of a cat flipping me off!

Yeah, I would hope it would cost less than $205,603 to get a pool installed.

That has to be aimed at whoever it is that rents out massive pools.

Possibly also places where in-ground pools aren't practical. Weather that would blow sand or dirt into the water to the point where it would gently caress up the filtering equipment, or something. I don't know.

I think I have a problem:

Since reading this thread, I've made 13 purchases and it is all stuff that I don't really need: watches, cables, torches, USB stuff, rings (I don;t wear jewellery)

I see something on there and go 'blimey that's cheap' and add it to my cart. Paying is a couple of clicks and - here's the killer - because it takes so long to get here, I don't get the usual buyer's remorse that stops me buying new stuff.

May I be the first to say I would love to see what cool stuff you found so I can do the same?

There was a blow up a while ago with Chinese sunglasses not meeting the specifications for UV protection in Australia.

I wouldn't buy those unless they were rated by whatever body does that in your country.

Years ago I bought a class 4 laser, and I got the chinese safety goggles tested by a reputable lab for OD (at OSU). Surprise! they were garbage.

I'm not blind(laser joke) to china's unregulated incompetence, and I advise anyone to use basic common sense with buying stuff from China.

Things to never buy from China:
1. multimeters
2. any precision equipment.
3. safety equipment (all of it)
