More of that second half please It's good to know that beating collingwood in the women's feels just as good as beating them in the men's.

Two great games in a row. Pity the gap between them was so long otherwise I'd have stayed at the ground to watch the second match. The highlight reel is basically just the second half in real time. Excited for round 3, although nervous about going up against the crows over there.

Update ratings (I got the numbers for the Crows correct this time) ADE +61 (+37) CAR +31 ( -4) BRL +27 MEL -9 (+18) WBD -17 (-37) FRE -20 GWS -20 ( +4) COL -53 (-18) (The idea is that 10 ratings points = 1 behind on the scoreboard)

Didn't play around with the settings though which I should have but at least it ran smoothly. Will give it another go with lower settings next time Yeah you can manage it by playing around with that. They really have to fix it, though, and have enough bandwidth for me to run it full tilt, if I'm going to continue with it after March 23.

Seems like they had a capacity crowd of 10,000. Not sure if it was a lockout or not. I think the Coll-Melb crowd was a bit weak given it is two melbourne based teams. Get your poo poo together fans, Saturday night game, where were you? This round of AFLW also had a higher average attendance of the current A-league round and the W-League grand final tonight had a crowd of 4,591. https://twitter.com/footyindustryAU/status/830716597442535424 And the only national free to air game this week: https://twitter.com/MediaweekAUS/status/830542502440505345 Tayla Harris has a monster game. https://twitter.com/aflwomens/status/830714961101889536 And the ladder at the end of round 2: (edited) drunkill fucked around with this message at 12:55 on Feb 12, 2017 |

Both of the suspensions from this weekend were the correct calls, both times the player jumped into it with a raised elbow and clocked the opponent in the jaw. Sucks for the Collingwood player that she's missing a substantial chunk of the season but she knocked her opponent out with her hit.

The player she knocked out also ruptured her hamstring moments before the hit and will miss the rest of the season. Talk about unlucky

It's always been a player vote, where they pick 1 to 5, and apparently it was nearly a coin toss between Mundy and Fyfe last year. But they didn't need to shove him at the back with Sandi for the leadership group photo http://www.fremantlefc.com.au/news/2017-02-14/2017-leadership-group-announced

So the Saints are obviously going to throw their money at Martin now since they were pretty keen on chasing Fyfe. Either that or they'll try something like dislodging Hopper or Shiel from GWS because the GWS cap is full to bursting.

Fyfe still hasn't signed, so there's still an incredibly slim chance he could be dislodged from Freo That said I reckon they will announce a new deal within the first month of the season if not sooner

New rule may be in place for round 1. Just the kind of headline you want to see from a billion dollar league one month and change before the start of the season. The rule in question is replacing the rushed behind penalty of a free kick on the goal line with a ball up 14 metres out(a marker will be painted). This will be trialled in the first two rounds of practice games, before inexplicably returning to a free kick for the final ones. Speaking of distances, players have GPS technology which is metre accurate. Why the gently caress do umpires not have a button on the side of their whistle which communicates with their GPS tracker, which then beeps when the umpire has moved 50 metres?
