Sadly, the free boost/barrel roll only occurs for the FIRST tractor beam token assigned each round.

You also cannot move people directly off the board with the beam, but you can put them in position where they can't avoid flying off.

Rocks are totally fair game though.

Yeah realised the limitation, and I did mean to put them in a position where they couldn't help but move out, and not tractor them directly.

Higher chance that he'll be hosed up by an ace before Suppressive Fire comes into play.

Though if you were able to keep him alive and shooting you could theoretically have it on every enemy pilot at once.

The condition also doesn't apply for when they're shooting at Rex, meaning that it's entirely possible for Rex's ability to end up not mattering at all if he's killed quickly (Which isn't hard).

There is an Escalation tourney coming up in a few weeks in Sydney 60,90,120. Never planned a lists like this and love the idea of having to bring the ships and cards to each new list.

Does anyone have any good ideas for lists like this? Going to give it a crack when i get home from work and would love some ideas.

She would pass them both to the one ship, and the ship receiving them would automatically lose one, unless they also had a weapons engineer.

Sure, I guess he could die before applying his condition, but I've just been assuming you'd never take him without Biggs for exactly that reason. Once you've applied the condition his PS doesn't really matter. And I don't think he's very good without Biggs because it's not hard to pop a tie fighter in one round of shooting.

Edit:

For maximum annoying jank you could do something like this:

(100)

Kanan Jarrus (50) - VCX-100
Fire Control System (2), Autoblaster Turret (2), Finn (5), Recon Specialist (3), Ghost (0)

Biggs Darklighter (28) - X-Wing

Captain Rex (22) - TIE Fighter

I tried a similar list with great success against triple defenders. I am a fan of sensor/tactical jammer on Kanan:
-Kanan Jarrus (50)
-Tactical Jammer (1)
-Sensor Jammer (4)
-Autoblaster Turret (2)
-Rey (2)
-Recon Specialist (3)

-Biggs (29)
-Integrated Astromech (0)
-R2-D2 (4)

-Captain Rex (21)
-Stealth Device (3)
-Sabine's Masterpiece (1)
-Jan Ors (2)
-Black Market Slicer (1)

I tried to keep Rex and Biggs behind Kanan to keep them obstructed. Had a tough time keeping Rex withing firing distance to keep laying down the condition. I liked the Rey/Recon combo with Jan. I could take a focus and an evade on the ghost and add back a focus from Rey (if I had one at the time). Having 2 focus and an evade on Kanan was nice. Then I could lower their attack dice by 1 and sensor jam their attack.

I bought the base set while on sale for $15 for Christmas thinking it would be a fun thing to play with my 11-year-old or at worst, I'd have some cool Star Wars ships to display. Turns out we have had a blast shooting each other and quickly ran up against the limits of the base set. I've spent $85 in the past week on new sets (original starter set, Rebel Aces, Slave 1) and am trying to rope relatives/friends into playing so they can buy ships too.

I don't know what 85% of the words you guys are saying mean. There's a tournament at the local game store on 3/4 that I think I will attend with my kid, just to see what goes on in a real competition.

I was in the same boat this time last year. I was lucky to have two good friends that were into the game since Wave 1 and showed me the ropes. I played my first store tournament after about a month of serious playing and got utterly destroyed. I didn't care though, I am still not that competitive and play to have fun.

That is awesome you and your son are into it. That way you all can learn together. I try to get my 11 year old daughter to play but she is at that age where I have to twist her arm to play.

As far as your wallet, I would suggest pacing yourself. When I got into it last year, I had about 8 waves and misc expansions to catch up with. I would pick up a ship or maybe two a month. Before I knew it, I was all caught up.

JUST FUCKING TAKE OFF ALREADY, SHIT
I got into the game between Wave 7 and 8 last year around January. I paced myself by limiting myself to buying either two small ships a month or one large a month. That allowed me to get caught up as I learned the ropes.

Then some sales happened and oh god my wallet.

Imperial Veterans is, hands down, the best value in imperial purchases. You also can't go wrong with the Phantom or Imperial Aces.
