It's fun reminiscing on old times but it's absolutely crazy that BJ would probably lose to any of the top 15 in practically any division at this point, when there was seriously a time when you would have been laughed out of the forums if you suggested RDA, Stephens or Poirier would have absolutely anything for BJ loving Penn. Some guys that were journeyman at the time (Miller, Lauzon, Tibau) and could not even get anywhere near a title shot are now guys that would be favored pretty handily over him. Time is not kind to anybody and it's kinda why even without seeing him, I'm not confident GSP is going to have anywhere near the success he has realized in the past.

It would have been something else to see the Ben Henderson who magic'd his way through like 5 different Cerrone sub attempts and then went 5 rounds toe to toe with Pettis and fight BJ of that time.

You can't really do anything fun to do a standing guard pass in UFC because of the rules and also how fights are scored you're winning the round by just standing there so why bother.
