Another thing that people may not think about when looking for a place to live: curb side trash pickup. It wasn't on my radar when looking for a place but I loving love not having to walk/drive to a dumpster a few times a week. It's one of those things that you don't really know the convenience of until you run across it.

holocaust bloopers posted:Wait what. People actually have to drive their trash somewhere? To a dumpster if there's no curb side pickup and they are too lazy to walk it there. And here trash pickup is something you pay for (~$15/mo) so if you don't pay, you have to drive it to the dump or use the dumpster in the next neighborhood.

Just got home from running an errand and found out that my daughter flooded the ground level bathroom. The flooring is "OK" because the water ran down the vent into the duct work. The insulation is totally soggy. Water damage guys coming out now. Jesus Christ kids.

That is pretty much what I pay. 1350/mo between me and my roommate; 2.50 to wash & dry a load of laundry in the basement machines.

I have my own washer and dryer in my unit. It is well worth it. My lady is going to earn close to double what I earn next year. Gonna DINK so hard.

Eh I meant like an outdoor clothesline I'll use the dryer sometimes in winter because it's a pain to wait for drying racks in those circumstances but yeah

I'd be fine with line drying if I had a porch. Until winter or the wet season. I'm paying about $650/mo and looking at spending $850/mo max on the next place. most nicer places around here are $1000+/mo. Then pet fees. Then water/sewer/trash. And some split the utility bill for the communal electric (lights, clubhouse, pool, etc). Maybe I should look at the small towns outside of the city.

I pay 2k/month for a 2/2 in a really nice area. If I want to be on orange or silver line that's the going rate.

I play $1k for a 3/2.5 and it's the nicest place I've ever lived in my life. Moved here because I could find anything else. In Tampa if I need a place next week I can find it today. I learned that in a small town you gotta look like six months in advance at least. But now that I've been here I loving love it.
