Those cars are beautiful and easy to work on and aftermarket parts for days. Cross compatible with a gigantic number of other BMW parts, could easily drop a 5 speed in there. Sell the other cars and get that one! IIRC the stock engine can take like ~4-5 psi boost and if you replace all the inside bits the block will happily take ~10. There's ample room in the engine bay for turbos, too.

I'm going to have to figure out how to strip them, and then paint and polish them. $400 with 80% Nexen 275/40-17s several years ago at a swap meet.
