Thief: The Dark Project is basically the perfect stealth game, which is weird considering it came out in 1998.

StrixNebulosa posted:What's a crash mode? (I've only really played Burnout Paradise as a driving game, see) You smash into a group of cars at specially set up intersections. It's mostly about picking a good line so you cause a huge cascade of crashes. There's something kinda like it in Paradise but it's not the same.

In Training posted:As a general question to the thread, what game were you best at? It doesn't need to be like professional level play or being a speedrunner, but everyone's had their obsessions throughout gaming. What game absorbed your time and you wanted to master in your own way? I think the only game that would apply for me is Dystopia, which was a HL2 mod that was kind of popular here. It was a team FPS set in cyberpunk with complex multistage objectives that were really fun. I played for hundreds of hours and got good enough to rank in the top 10 players from time to time and carry teams. The game is dead though, sadly. bloodychill fucked around with this message at 06:49 on Feb 20, 2017 |

In Training posted:Also because if you buy the steam version chances are it just doesnt work on your machine because its a lovely version of Doom with no support. I bought it and spent more time trying to apply mods to patch it vs. just downloading gzdoom and being done with it and refunding the version on steam. The Steam versions should still come with WAD files though?

The tokyo map that has strategically placed air vents so they just incorporated the "hit a grind on a loop" cheaty combo idea from THPS into an entire level so you can bag 500000000 points....perfection.

I had the ps2 version, but it seems to have vanished, plus I'm not so sure the ol' ps2 will actually read discs any more. Is the arcade origins collection available for the PS4? It doesn't seem like it, but I could easily be missing something. I skipped over the ps3.
