The hate for Tess Holiday fills my being with so much joy as everything about her pisses me the gently caress off. So glad her bullshit was short lived. I hired a dude last summer that claimed he had been married to and had kid (maybe two, I forget) with Tess Holiday. He was skinny and refused to eat anything even slightly 'unhealthy.' Like, dude went into a health speech when I offered him half a candy bar. He said he used to be really overweight. With his weirdass behavior we figured he was doing meth, which would explain the size change. E dude wasn't bad looking at all, had strangely nice long hair, but he had absolutely no sanity or work ethic. Every day was drama and his current girlfriend was this tiny, self-proclaimed heroin addict that came to the shop one day in a see-through dress and started hugging everyone. As someone who is follows a lot of plus size fashion communities, Tess is either glorified as the be all end all god of fat, or called out for her WEIRD racist poo poo regarding black men. As someone who falls hard (hah) into the latter, I just want to look vaguely put together and feel comfortable exercising without some jackass making a scene about it. I honestly feel she does more harm to us than help. Like health at any size should help bigger people feel comfortable exercising and living a healthy life regardless of weight instead of putting a cherry on top (that we can't eat, damnit) on a spectacle.
