It could be Cryptic-ese that means they actually got a 95% damage nerf, Snowballs can be used on NPCs & hit like a quad-damage AoE Boolean cannon, and you can swap your player model to a ship model while on a ground map at will now . I don't have Tribble installed anymore so I can't check.

This thing throws every enemy group and boss grade NPC at you at some point. We had Borg (yes you have to remodulate), dinomechs, the Spawnmother, Assimilated Undine and others. Red Alert is permanent, so no swapping modules mid match. And as an added bonus or possibly gently caress you, if you get to round 4 a couple of times you get voucher things to trade in for a kit module that calls in lightning strikes. FYI it's an account unlock so you only have to do it on one char. Also there's looooong pauses with nothing happening between waves so we* probably want to run a group that suicides on wave 5 because the queue is loving torture as it is now. *We being the five of us left who still play this loving game.

I'm guessing they don't want you spawn-camping the enemies with mines and turrets, so it waits for all that stuff to despawn before starting the next wave. Useful if you need time for everyone's paradox correctors and other powers to reset.

It doesn't wait for them to despawn, though, just slows down massively I suspect it's checking to see if 'red alert' status is off on all entities, since that's been a problem for structures in the past. It's fun to keep dragging things out long beyond round 5, while teammates ask to be left to die, only to be forcibly resurrected over and over again.

Yeah what's up with red alert lasting for loving ever during that arena. Like once every thirty rounds or so it'll randomly drop for a few seconds, but mostly it just locks you into combat while nothing happens for 30 seconds at a time. What's happening there?

Apparently the idea was that you go in with your build and that's it, you can never change. Despite Borg being in the spawn rotation. What I'm getting at is that this event sounds real loving stupid.
