Also +/- is trash, every Leaf that ever played in that span for any amount of time is a net negative because the team had poo poo goaltending, defence, and coaching. By that metric Dan Winnik is the best Leaf to have ever played in the modern era.

+/- sucks because it might as well be specifically made to penalize players for being leaned on by their teams offensively, doubly so if they're surrounded by lovely teams. If your coach only puts you on the power play but not the penalty kill? That only hurts your +/- because you can only get minuses while you're on the power play while penalty killers can only improve their +/-. Get lots of ice time because you're good, but your team is bad? That's just more opportunities for you to get minuses from your team mates' fuckups. Since it's a counting stat you're only going to go deeper into the hole the more you play. Not to mention if your coach puts you out for empty net situations because you're their best hope for scoring goals...more minuses!
