Pre-K Bikini Carwash posted:I couldn't even imagine. Besides, it's so much more fun not being 100% sure when it's going to kick in. Tach is mounted to where you pretty much have to look straight down to see it, and it sounds pretty much the same at 5k as it does at 6.5k when the VBoost opens. It's like a fun, terrifying surprise if you're not paying attention. As a owner of 2 Vmax's, its best to leave it alone if it works. Feels like a kick in the gut.

I wrapped the header and stitched a leather panel on the left leg of mine after I burned a hole through the outer layer.

Yeah, waiting for a day when it's not raining and I'm not working to check the valves and the rocker arm bearings which seem to be the biggest breakage item on these. Fueling is a bit too light switch for me too so will have to check the mapping on that.

Fuelling being light-switchish is normal on them. Mine is the same and is mapped correctly. You get used to it. It infuriated me when I first got it coming from my zx10r, but you just develop better throttle control and it's not a problem.

$500 for a pre gen Ninja 250 with title that needs carb work from a friend's friend. Great or greatest idea? It ran before it sat for like 2 years (in a garage though!). I'm expecting to replace tires, clean carbs, change oil, and charge up the battery and it should run/ride fine. I'll drain the gas too while I'm at it.

http://www.michaelsreno.com/1996-honda-xr650l-inventory.htm?id=1265893&in-stock=1 How does this bike look? I've been thinking of picking up a dual sport for a few years. Most of my riding will be off road, but the convenience of being able to legally drive to my off road spots would be awesome.

It looks ragged all to hell. Your bike market isn't great, though. This would be much better if you could get together an extra 1000 https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/6013529245.html or this https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/5969917603.html

Sacramento would be OK we go down there all of the time. The DRZ may be within budget, but I'd have to give it some thought. What about this? https://reno.craigslist.org/mcy/6012462259.html e: wow yeah Sacramento has a way better market. I'll have to keep my eyes open, thanks. Or even better? https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/6006948594.html Plastic is beat up though... and I'll never understand people that put muddy bikes up for sale. I think both of those come with higher service intervals of non dual sports. Both of those look like they were owned by rabid imbeciles, but I haven't looked in that price range for dirt only bikes. WR450 chain is toast, at least. Thing I like about that DRZ is that it looks clean, unabused, and well cared for. You'll spend way more than a grand getting the others anywhere close to it's condition. Plus, as a model, it is a general purpose dual sport that has long service intervals. And I'm biased against DRZ's and I still feel that way for your particular needs. Modest Mouse cover band posted:Alright thanks. I'll just hold off for a month or two and get something a little nicer, like that DRZ. EDIT: I mean ugh friends don't let friends buy KLR's but these are much better and well within your price range and will do fine for your needs. 2007 KLR 650 16,000 miles - $2600 (Roseville) https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/6006747591.html 1997 Kawasaki KLR650 - $1700 *** Has doohicky done and looks solid so maybe focus on this one*** https://sacramento.craigslist.org/mcy/6014888418.html Coydog fucked around with this message at 21:27 on Feb 22, 2017 |
