I mean, they're still doing it for season two, but it's television, and for what it is, season 2 is a lot more interesting. Sometimes all you have time for is to produce a MVP.

Don't read this. Blockers (excuse for poor planning) Pipeline (excuse for delays) Milestone (public release) Unexpected (expected by all except CIG) Unforeseen (poor planning) Iteration (scrap and do again) Teaser (marketing; will never exist except 50% of ships) Soon (never) "Coming 2016" (it's just a hopeful projection, guys. really, it is our fault) Open Development (marketing) Most Open Development (bold-face-lie/insanity) Transparent (double-plus-opaquewise) Never Done Before (there is a good reason for that) Design Document (not required) Speculation (quantum design document) Plan (what you are doing today) Long-Term Plan (what you are doing tomorrow) We-Are-Planning-To (the subject matter has not, does not and will not exist) Estimate (this manual says we should double it? but we have so much money; lets quarter it) Explain (excuse) Promise (smokescreen) Trust (money; e.g. look how much trust we have earned) ATV (smokescreen. keeping up appearances. reaffirmations. daily hate) 10ftc (massive hand-waving; literally and figuratively. debt increase time) Bugsmashers (sole part that is open development. possibly) Indie Developer (CIG) AAA Developer (CIG) Communication (marketing, lies, lies) Vertical Slice (no idea) Fidelity (graphics or something. certainly not gameplay systems) Graphics (tighten them up) VR (not good enough for Star Citizen) Mo-Cap (Money-Catapult) Procedural Animation (it animates itself!) 100 Star-Systems(3 Star-Systems) 3 Star-Systems(1 Star-System) Artist (dream-funnel/incompetent) Programmer (god) Programming Lead (personal, uninformed opinion haver) Employee (top of the crop) Ex-Employee (leaver) Leaver (toxic) Chris Roberts (coding god. visionary.
