I know it isn't the determining factor in how good a player is, but at a glance it's useful for seeing how good a player is. PG hasn't risen above 20 (even when they were good) which is a little worrisome. Usually when a team is bad and a player is doing more you get insane Minny Kevin Love values out of it. I wonder if it's more of a pace thing.

I mean, the dude almost beat the Raptors by himself in the playoffs last year. He will blanket the opponents best player in a playoff series. He has cleaned up a lot of the sloppiness over the years. He's not perfect, but he's real drat good and his shot is better than ever, especially at the end of games. He's also a good dude, so if you get him then you better appreciate him :(

I wish CP3 was less committed to resigning with the Clippers and went back to New Orleans next year. Boogie and the Brow will be more likely to get him a title in the future. The Clippers are currently more balanced/better overall but I don't trust Griffin staying healthy long term.

CP3 and Boogie do not like each other, very vocally, so I think even if he wasn't dead set on clippers it'd be a pipe dream. He'd be more likely to go to the Spurs or something.

Also there's no way we can afford him. He's gonna need a lot more money than Jrue and Jrue's contract is already gonna force us to do a little maneuvering.

Kobe and Raja Bell were known to hate each other. Kobe would later go on to try to recruit Bell to the Lakers. Sometimes players let things go when they get older to try to win more.

This trade is interesting to me. 22 Million in cap relief, a top 4 pick on this draft and a good wing prospect.

Dangerously thin front court if PG won't play the 4, which he has complained about before. Jefferson has to pick up all of Johnson, Olynyk, and Jerebko's minutes that don't get piled on Horford or lil Jae.

Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni said he will play Pat Beverley, Eric Gordon and newly acquired guard Lou Williams at the same time with the second unit. Beverley can guard some small forwards if need be, depending on the size of the player. But scoring is the key in this Rockets trade for Williams. "To be able to compete with the top teams you got to continue to score throughout the game," D'Antoni said. "We can't think ok we can shut them down, the Golden States, the San Antonios the Clevelands, whoever, we'll shut them down. Those guys aren't getting shutdown you got to be able to score until you can make some strategic (defensive) stops we have that ability even now."

How is PGs PER so bad for a guy who does so much?

He doesn't fill up the box score much. 3 assists per game, 6 rebounds per game, 0.3 blocks per game, 5 FTAs per game. Paltry numbers. If he increased all those his PER would be a lot higher.

Give him ten assists, fifteen rebounds and five blocks per game and he'd be dominating PER.

To be fair, Steve Kerr started his front office career by being an absolute fuckass in Phoenix, basically nuking the Seven Seconds or Less Suns because they weren't enough like his beloved San Antonio Spurs.

Then he went to Golden State and decided that maybe the old Suns-style offense wasn't too bad after all.

Well the other problem is that he and McCollum are somewhat similar players, so you could argue that they get in each other's way a bit. Golden State had that problem during the start of Steph Curry's career, when he was in the backcourt with Monta Ellis. Eventually one of the two had to go, and the front office ended up trading Monta to the Bucks.

Then they start talking about Twitter and the other host says that callers Twitter avatar was Dwight Howard and Johnson replies that it's not an avatar, it's a picture. An avatar is when you use a picture of one of those things from the movie.

Neither, most likely it's just that they have that amount of assets that they can dump off for the player. The Rockets are above the cap so salary needs to match.

Maybe, but assuming they don't want to part with any of their starters or Gordon, it's actually not that easy for them to put together a 10-12m trade, unless they want to turn around and flip Lou Williams. The other actually good players they have are all on smaller contracts (biggest is Nene at 2.8m).

How funny would it be if Morey turned around and traded Williams for some actually good pick.

Anyway it was mainly the way Woj phrased it, putting a salary range in rather than looking for some attribute (i.e. a defensive big or whatever)
